Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of financial analysis, reporting, payroll and accounts receivable/payable functions.
  • Strong understanding of regulations and applicable laws.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills; experience with Netsuite and other internal software.
  • Interest in the beauty industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and monitoring accounting operations and financial management.
  • Supervising month end and ensuring bookkeeping is completed timely.
  • Managing AR aging reports and ensuring overdue balances are addressed.
  • Managing AP aging reports and preparing payment runs.
  • Responsible for US and Singapore reporting and compliance.
  • Improving and updating accounting policies and procedures.
  • Complying with legal and regulatory financial requirements.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting principles are met.

Your Role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to assist with technical accounting, financial analysis, and to be responsible for the accurate and timely financial management of regional subsidiaries. This individual will report directly to CFO and will manage and supervise aspects from month end close to tax compliance. This individual will be a self-starter, proactive, and a strategic problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and monitoring accounting operations and components of financial management.
  • Supervising month end and ensuring all bookkeeping and checks are executed and completed timely, adhering to checklists and month end procedures.
  • Managing AR aging reports and ensuring all overdue balances are chased and escalated to management as needed.
  • Managing AP aging reports and ensuring payment runs are prepared and executed timely.
  • Responsible for US and Singapore reporting and compliance, ensuring transactions are coded correctly, statutory reports are prepared accurately and filed timely.
  • Safeguarding assets and accurately recording all transactions by improving and implementing controls and checks.
  • Remaining confidential with all financial, accounting and HR information.
  • Improving and updating accounting policies and procedures to ensure all accounting functions are addressed and well documented.
  • Defining and adhering to operational best practices and training financial staff when needed.
  • Ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are being met.
  • Complying with all local and international laws when it comes to finances, taxes and reporting measures.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting principles are addressed.
  • Staying up to date on Accounting, Finance and Human Resources trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Senior Accounting or Financial Management role
  • Must have a thorough understanding of financial analysis, reporting, payroll and accounts receivable/payable functions
  • Must have strong communication, both written and verbal
  • Must have a strong understanding of regulations and applicable laws
  • Must be able to deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines and thrive within a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent computer skills; have experience with Netsuite and other internal softwares
  • Interest in the beauty industry is a plus
