Job summary

An education staffing agency in the East Midlands is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to support SEND pupils. The role involves working closely with children on their educational journey across day-to-day, short term and long-term placements. Qualified candidates (Level 2 or 3) are preferred but those with experience in educational settings are also encouraged to apply. Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment.

The right TA / Teaching assistant should be unwaveringly positive, ambitious, and empathetic with high levels of resilience and good behaviour management. The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:

• Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment (non-qualified candidates will be considered)
• A calm, patient and caring persona
• Good communication skills
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
