Overview

SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) position in Central Leeds. September 2025 - Ongoing. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant junior school in Leeds. This is a TA position, offering support across the whole school on a 1:1 and small group intervention basis. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive in their learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver focused 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEND.
  • Provide flexible support across different classrooms and year groups as required.
  • Assist with personal care needs in a sensitive and respectful manner.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to implement individualized learning plans.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular reviews and meetings.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil independence and confidence.
