Overview

SEND Teacher. Stockton-on-Tees

£130-£150 per day. Start date: Immediate.

Responsibilities
  • Teach in SEND schools and alternative provisions to children aged 5 to 16 with special educational needs and disabilities on a supply basis.
  • Be part of a team that engages children in the absence of their usual teacher and helps the school or provision run smoothly.
  • Support students with a range of needs including communication and interaction problems, learning difficulties, social or emotional issues and visual or hearing impairments.
Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Primary or Secondary subject specialism – ideally Maths and/or English.
  • Experience working with children with SEND, including but not limited to: MLD/SLD/PMLD/ASD/SEMH/SEBD/PD/VI/HI and other complex needs.
  • Previous experience in a specialist setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting.
  • A genuine desire to be part of a committed team of SEND teachers and LSAs.
  • A passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
