Do you have the skills, empathy, and resilience to support students in a nurturing, inclusive environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Secondary SEN Teacher

The Educate Group are looking for dedicated SEN teachers to work in a specialised setting across Key stage 3 and 4. You will be committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students with SEN. The ideal candidate will have the ability to foster resilience, self-esteem, and academic growth, enabling students to reach their full potential. You will become a part of a highly skilled and collaborative team, striving to make education accessible, meaningful, and transformative. This role will suit both an experienced SEMH teacher or an ECT starting out on a career in this specialised area of education.

Responsibilities of a Secondary Teacher:

  • Deliver and provide opportunities for students to learn and express themselves.
  • Ensure that students are engaged, motivated and on task.
  • Manage any behaviour issues that may arise.
  • Follow school policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.

Requirements of a Secondary Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage behaviour effectively
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate
  • Flexibility and adaptability

Registrations required to be a Secondary Teacher:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
