We are seeking a SEND English Teacher to join a supportive, pupil-centred provision in South Gloucester.
In this role, you will work with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). This includes Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). We are seeking a Teacher who can teach GCSE curriculum, you will also be working with children in KS3 who have an academic delay so may suit a primary practitioner.
You will be helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop essential skills in a calm, structured environment.
Your expertise in English will enable pupils to engage with learning in a way that is accessible, meaningful, and motivating.
About the Role This long-term opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is patient, adaptable, and resilient . You will work with pupils, many of whom have additional needs including ASC, and SEMH. You will help pupils achieve academic success while supporting their social and emotional development.
You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team , working alongside teaching assistants and specialist staff, in a well-resourced environment that values staff wellbeing, professional growth, and innovation in teaching . As a SEND English Teacher , your role will include: Delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience Contributing to a flexible, pupil-centred curriculum Working closely with teaching assistants and therapy professionals to maximise outcomes The position is full-time , with part-time options considered .
