An independent SEN school in Hertfordshire is seeking a full-time teaching assistant to support students with learning difficulties, including autism and severe disabilities. Here at Aspire People, we support an independent SEN School in the Royston area of Hertfordshire (SG8) with finding the right teaching assistants and teaching staff. The position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 16:30pm and is a term-time position only. The school grounds sits on acres of land and offers generous space for all their students. The school currently caters for students aged 5-16 who have an educational health care plan. Most of the students have a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and other physical disabilities.
The role is challenging, yet incredibly rewarding. After a successful trial period with Aspire People, all teaching assistants will be transferred onto a permanent contract and enrolled onto a two-week induction course learning Makaton, sensory learning tools, managing risk assessments, PRICE training, Lego therapy and more!
