At Masterclass, we have been tasked with recruiting for a SEN teaching assistant for a wonderful SEN school in Hastings. They provide a happy and safe environment where their students can thrive in their education. They provide outstanding education to their students as well as encourage their personal development and interests, giving them the opportunity to succeed as well as remain independent.

The successful candidate will have the skills to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the students. You will be working with small groups of students or 1:1. You would be required to facilitate the students with their own projects that interests them as well as assisting them during their lessons.

Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.

Responsibilities
  • To support the children's development across all areas of their development
  • Support and encourage positive behaviour management
  • Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
  • To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
  • To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
  • Provide personal care when needed
