Role

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Day-to-Day)

Location: Peterborough

Education Personnel are proud to be one of the leading education agencies in the East Midlands, supporting teachers and support staff in finding roles where they can truly make a difference.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist academy in Peterborough for up to 117 pupils aged 4-16. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with the primary area of need being Communication and Interaction, including a diagnosis of Autism. Many pupils also present with associated difficulties in areas such as cognition and learning, and sensory and physical needs.

This day-to-day role offers flexibility and the chance to gain invaluable experience working in a highly rewarding SEN setting.

The Role
  • Supporting pupils with Autism and associated learning needs in both small groups and 1:1 sessions
  • Helping to deliver tailored learning programmes in line with EHCPs
  • Promoting independence, communication, and positive engagement in school life
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and wider school staff to provide consistent support

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
