Overview

SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (WV10) – Start Date: ASAP. Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week (until at least Christmas, with potential to extend). Agency: Smile Education.

Smile Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child within EYFS at a welcoming primary school in the WV10 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a caring and patient nature who is ready to make a real difference from day one.

About the Role
  • Working 1:1 with a child in EYFS who has ASD and is non-verbal.
  • Providing support through play-based learning and keeping the child safe at all times.
  • The child particularly enjoys water play, so the role requires someone who can engage positively while ensuring safety.
  • Full-time role (Monday to Friday, full school day hours).
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience supporting children with ASD or other additional needs.
  • A patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
  • The ability to build positive relationships through play and consistent support.
  • A commitment to ensuring the child’s wellbeing and safety at all times.
