Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in Burnage who are actively seeking a Teaching Assistant to work both with small groups and 1:1 with pupils who have been diagnosed with various Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Year 2. The successful candidate will be working in a good, rated school that aims to enable individual children of all abilities to develop spiritually, physically, socially and intellectually in the fullest possible way. The successful educator will be working in a full-time role (8:30am-3:30pm) and is required to start in school as soon as possible.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them achieve their learning goals
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
  • Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to ensure the holistic development of students

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
