SEN Teacher

Are you a passionate and resilient educator with experience supporting children and young people with additional needs? A small, specialist independent school in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term temporary basis, starting as soon as possible.

The school caters to pupils aged 6-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism. It offers a nurturing and structured environment where every child is supported to thrive both academically and personally. The curriculum is designed to ensure that students are well-prepared for their next steps post‑16, whether that be further education, training, or employment.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience working with children and young people with SEMH and/or Autism.
  • Be patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a strong 'can-do' attitude.
  • Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Be confident in managing challenging behaviours and building trusting relationships.
  • Hold a DBS on the update service
