Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contributing to pupil progress and outcomes? This role offers the chance to encourage enthusiasm and a love of learning, challenge pupils to reach their full potential, share responsibility for pupil wellbeing, safety and behaviour management, collaborate with colleagues and work as part of a supportive team, meet the needs outlined in pupils Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), develop expertise in teaching pupils with ASD, share best practice, maintain accurate records following school policies and balance professional dedication with a healthy work‑life balance.
Acorn Park is a school for 160 pupils, who all have a primary diagnosis of Autism. We run two curriculum pathways: Formal and Semi‑Formal. Our complex needs pupils are on the Semi‑Formal Pathway, which is highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils with 8 co‑located pupil homes on our 30‑acre site in rural Norfolk. On‑site, we also have a large Forest School and Animal Care Farm along with play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms.
For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. We are a leading provider of education for neurodivergent young people and young adults. Part‑time, Full‑time, Permanent. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm. Contract: Permanent, Term‑time only. Start: January 2026. Salary up to £42,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro‑rata). UK applicants only; no sponsorship available.
