SEN Teacher
Location: Blandford
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?

If so, GSL Education are seeking a qualified and motivated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school based in Blandford. This is a full-time, permanent position starting from September 2025.

As a dedicated SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with complex and additional learning needs. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will support pupils with a range of diagnoses including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs. You will be instrumental in creating a safe and inspiring learning environment where every student can thrive.

Responsibilities of Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher:

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are accessible and challenging for all learners
• Work with EHCPs and individual support plans to meet pupils’ educational and developmental goals
• Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to provide targeted interventions
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform future teaching
• Foster an inclusive classroom culture that promotes emotional wellbeing and personal development
• Establish strong partnerships with parents and carers to support student progress

Requirements for SEN Teacher:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience working with children with SEN in a school or specialist setting as a SEN Teacher
• Knowledge of differentiation strategies and behaviour support methods
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A compassionate and patient approach
