Job description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? If so, there's a perfect opportunity available at a lovely school in Droylsden, Tameside to start in the new year!

This position is to start January on a full-time position paying up to 200 a day and will suit a passionate teacher with a background in SEND and a strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs, specifically autism on their learning journey.

About the Role

The school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join its team in January. The role involves supporting a group of 6 children with autism and providing tailored support to encourage progress on a personal social, emotional and academic level. The role will also involve an element of personal care, however, you will also be supported by two established teaching assistants are highly experienced supporting children in a SEND capacity.

This role is highly rewarding for those who enjoy focused learning, building strong relationships and seeing children make leaps of progress first-hand. The school is well resourced with a higher-than-average intake of SEND/EAL pupils. Staff work harmoniously towards a shared vision making this a setting where everybody thrives!

Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
