Sports Coach SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Walkden

We are looking for an energetic, committed and adaptable Sports Coach SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Walkden. This is a hybrid role, offering the perfect blend of delivering engaging sports sessions and providing 1:1 SEN support.

The Role
  • Deliver high-quality sports coaching sessions to groups of primary pupils, promoting teamwork, fitness and positive attitudes.
  • Work 1:1 with a child who is currently working behind age-related expectations, providing tailored support, encouragement, and interventions to help them progress.
  • Support class teachers and follow the child's needs closely to ensure consistent and nurturing care.
  • Bring enthusiasm, resilience and a calm, supportive approach to every day.
We're Looking For
  • A background in sports coaching, youth work or PE.
  • Experience working with children with SEN or a willingness to learn.
  • Someone patient, proactive and positive, who enjoys making a difference.
  • A reliable team player who can adapt to the needs of the school day.
