About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Science Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Halifax. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, accessible science lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Support students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the SENCO to implement effective strategies.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and achievement.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching science at KS3/KS4 level.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting students with SEN.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
