SEN Case Officer – Bexley (Hybrid Working)

Umbrella Rate: £28.45 per hour

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

Contract: 4 Months

Hybrid Working: Minimum 1 day per week in the office (where possible)

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced and dedicated SEN Case Officer to join a busy and supportive SEN team in Bexley. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting families, carers, and educational settings (from nursery through to post-16/19 providers) to ensure the needs of learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are met.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and administering the Statutory Assessment and Review process
  • Liaising with schools, professionals, and families to determine the best support and provision
  • Supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with SEND to achieve positive outcomes
  • Focusing on phase transfer processes to meet the February 2026 statutory deadlines
  • Supporting the annual review workflow in a high-performing SEN team
About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience working directly within SEN (e.g., in a school, Local Authority, or education/health/care service)
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, statutory processes, and EHCP requirements
  • A relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working professionally in or with educational settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational ability, with confidence managing workloads and casework efficiently
  • A proactive, hardworking, and collaborative attitude
