An established tutoring agency located in the UK is urgently seeking in-person tutors with experience in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN). Ideal candidates will offer tutoring during the day and have a passion for teaching. The agency provides a competitive pay structure, flexible working hours, ongoing training, and various client types. Applicants must demonstrate relevant experience, hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, and have a right to work in the UK. A cover letter with your tuition experience is preferred for application.
Bright Heart is an award‑winning London‑based tuition agency. We won the Tuition Business of the Year award in the 2022 National Tutoring Awards and were runners‑up in 2023 and 2024. We were also an accredited Tuition Partner for the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) which ended in August 2024. Our nurturing, heart‑based approach – the "Bright Heart Approach" – meets the whole person from their unique perspective, building trust, self‑esteem and self‑belief before strengthening academic abilities.
We urgently seek London and Surrey‑based, in‑person tutors with SEN / ASC experience and good availability. Applicants must be able to offer many hours of tutoring, including during the daytime. Students typically receive one‑to‑one tuition in their homes with a parent or guardian present, or in small groups (up to 1:6) at school through the NTP.
Please attach your CV and include a cover letter outlining your tuition experience, SEN experience and motivation, as well as tutoring availability, subjects and types of students you would like to tutor. Applications with a cover letter will be given strong preference.
We will contact you for a brief screening call, followed by an application form, pre‑interview questionnaire/checks, an online interview with a director, contracting and an in‑person meeting.
Bright Heart has a moral and legal obligation to treat young people and vulnerable adults with the highest standard of care. Our recruitment and selection procedures follow an equal opportunities policy. Successful candidates will sign our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, complete safeguarding induction and annual refresher training.
