Job summary

An established tutoring agency located in the UK is urgently seeking in-person tutors with experience in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN). Ideal candidates will offer tutoring during the day and have a passion for teaching. The agency provides a competitive pay structure, flexible working hours, ongoing training, and various client types. About

Role

We urgently seek London and Surrey‑based, in‑person tutors with SEN / ASC experience and good availability. Applicants must be able to offer many hours of tutoring, including during the daytime. Students typically receive one‑to‑one tuition in their homes with a parent or guardian present, or in small groups (up to 1:6) at school through the NTP.

Key Qualifications
  • Right to work in the UK & current Enhanced DBS certificate (including children’s barred list). We can apply on your behalf if not held.
  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in tuition subject(s)
  • University qualification or studying towards one, and A‑levels
  • Passion for teaching and their tuition subject(s)
  • SEN tuition/teaching experience and passion for working with students with SEN
  • 2 relevant professional references & a parent reference. Overseas‑living/working overseas in the last 5 years will need police certificate & overseas checks.

We will contact you for a brief screening call, followed by an application form, pre‑interview questionnaire/checks, an online interview with a director, contracting and an in‑person meeting.
