Job description

As a Semi‑Skilled Fitter, you will assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of aerospace components. This position requires a hands‑on approach and a strong attention to detail to ensure that all tasks are completed to stringent specifications of the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assembly and fitting of aerospace components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Carry out routine inspections and quality checks on assembled parts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with skilled fitters and engineers to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report any issues or defects identified during the fitting process to supervisors or quality control.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
Requirements
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
