Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA, AAT Level 4, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a UK accountancy practice or the desire to work in this industry.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and tax.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders and companies.
• Assisting with management accounts, VAT returns, and bookkeeping.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
• Supporting audits, including planning and fieldwork.
• Liaising with clients and HMRC to resolve queries.
• Mentoring junior team members.

Skills

Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or AAT Level 4

Experience in UK accountancy practice

What the Semi Senior Accountant job involves

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Assisting with management accounts, VAT returns, and bookkeeping tasks.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
• Supporting audits, including planning, fieldwork, and completion (if required).
• Liaising with clients and HMRC to resolve queries efficiently.
• Supporting senior colleagues and mentoring junior team members.

What We're Looking For

• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA, AAT Level 4, or equivalent experience.
