Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students with SEMH and ASD, helping them meet milestones and participate in learning.
• Be confident and adaptable in working with students with SEMH/ASD needs and support classroom activities in collaboration with Teachers.
• Be equipped to deal with challenging behaviours and implement safeguarding guidelines in line with school policies.

Qualifications

• A DBS (required) or willingness to apply for one
• Experience working with students with SEMH
• A calm, patient, and caring personality
• A good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in supporting students in education on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Excellent classroom management
