The SEMH child has an educational, health and care plan (EHCP) that details specific targets, outcomes and strategies for the child. The SEMH Teaching Assistant role demands a dedicated and caring individual who will be patient and take time to understand the specific needs of the SEMH child.

This is a tremendous opportunity for obtaining experience within the Special Needs and Mental Health sector, as you will have the chance in your role as an SEMH Teaching Assistant to observe, work alongside and collaborate with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, occupational therapists and teachers with SEMH specialisms.

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will need to be fully committed to the child on a long-term basis. Requirements and Preferences

Hours and Compensation
