SEMH Teacher - Teesside

Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious and qualified SEMH Teacher to join an exceptional Secondary SEMH provision in Teesside. Experienced teachers and ECTs are encouraged to apply.

SEMH Class Teacher - Roles & Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a strong, up-to-date understanding of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies, adapting them to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Personalise learning to provide all pupils with the opportunity to achieve their potential.
  • Promote positive values, attitudes and consistently high standards of professional behaviour.
  • Organise the classroom, resources, displays and pupil groupings to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Effectively manage the learning of individuals, groups and whole classes, adapting teaching throughout lessons to meet pupils' needs.
SEMH Teacher - Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 1 & 2, ideally within a SEND or SEMH setting
  • Strong knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies with proven success
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when working with pupils, parents, staff and external professionals
