Overview

Field Service Engineer - £38k-£40k - Monday to Friday - door to door - personal use vehicle
Location: M4 Corridor (Bristol to Donnington)
Salary: £38,000-£40,000 DOE
Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday (8:00-16:30)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Role Overview

As a Field Service Engineer, you\'ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex CCTV, access control, and perimeter detection systems across the M4 corridor. This includes both planned and reactive maintenance, with occasional overnight stays (approximately four times per year). You\'ll work as part of a remote engineering team, supported by experienced colleagues and a responsive helpdesk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair analogue/digital CCTV, access control, and perimeter detection systems
  • Support managed control rooms and multi-site systems
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the helpdesk
  • Represent the company professionally on-site
Skills & Experience
  • Essential: Strong knowledge of CCTV, DVR/NVR, and access control systems
  • Experience with IP systems, RAID recording, and video matrix systems
  • Confident in on-site diagnostics and repairs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Desirable experience with: PID systems, Galaxy alarms, Cortech GUI, CEM Access Control, Synergy, First-line gate/barrier repairs
