Job description

Secondary Teachers (QTS) – Bolton & Bury

January Start

£150 - £250 per day depending on experience

Salaried roles available

TeacherActive is working closely with a number of secondary schools across Bolton and Bury who are looking to appoint qualified secondary teachers to support with day-to-day supply, long-term roles, and potential permanent opportunities.

These roles are suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs who are looking for flexibility, variety, or a longer-term post within supportive school environments.

We have multiple positions available, so any subject specialism is welcomed, but we are primarily seeking Maths, English and Science teachers.

Role

The role will involve:

• Delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (subject specialism preferred, but flexibility welcomed for supply)
• Following school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and assessment
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Supporting pupils to achieve both academically and personally

We are looking for teachers who:

• Hold UK QTS (essential)
• Have experience teaching in UK secondary schools
• Are confident with classroom and behaviour management
• Are adaptable, reliable, and professional
• Are available for supply, long-term, or permanent roles
