Vision for Education is recruiting a dedicated and inspiring Secondary Teacher to work in a specialist SEN school supporting GCSE students. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about helping young people with additional needs achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.
The successful candidate will deliver tailored lessons at GCSE level, adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).
Planning and delivering engaging and accessible lessons in line with the GCSE curriculum.
Differentiating teaching methods to meet the individual needs of SEN learners.
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and motivated to learn.
Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to provide personalised support.
Monitoring progress, providing feedback, and supporting students with exam preparation.
We are looking for a teacher who is:
A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience teaching at secondary level.
Experienced or enthusiastic about working with students who have SEN.
Patient, resilient, and committed to supporting learners with diverse needs.
Skilled at building strong, positive relationships with young people.
Able to adapt teaching methods creatively to ensure students achieve their best outcomes.
Experience in a SEN setting is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
