Responsibilities

  • Foster Positive Behaviour: Implement strong classroom management strategies to maintain a focused and respectful classroom while ensuring consistency.
  • Inclusive Learning: Adapt your teaching methods to suit various learning styles, ensuring an inclusive environment for all students.
  • Individualised Support: Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Organised Classroom Management: Efficiently manage classroom resources and materials to ensure smooth lesson delivery and maximise engagement.
  • Clear Communication: Keep open lines of communication with students, teachers, and school staff, ensuring a seamless flow of support and information.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to different school environments and teaching needs, ensuring each student receives the best possible education.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (essential)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) preferred, but not essential
  • Proven experience working with secondary school-aged children
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to different teaching environments
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and changing school environment
  • Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to obtain one
  • Availability to work on short notice and willingness to travel across Berkshire for various teaching opportunities
