Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary SEN school in Bolton. You will work closely with a student who requires additional support due to complex needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to help young people achieve in education and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 tailored support to a pupil with complex needs, ensuring they can access learning and remain engaged.
  • Assist in delivering individualized learning activities, adapting resources to meet the pupil’s specific needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Support with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Monitor and record progress, reporting observations to the class teacher and SENCO to inform planning.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to provide consistent and holistic support.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN or complex needs (essential).
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Full‑time availability.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred for travel between sites).
  • Two professional references covering the last 24 months.
  • A proactive, patient, and resilient attitude.
