A leading educational agency is seeking a Secondary QTS Tutor in the Wooler area to support disenfranchised students in small groups or one-on-one. The ideal candidate will have QTS or QTLS qualifications and experience collaborating with young people with SEND. Competitive pay up to GBP30 per hour offered, with flexible hours to accommodate student needs.
Secondary QTS Tutor
Are you a nurturing, patient, and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting students who are disengaged from mainstream education? Prospero Teaching are seeking dedicated QTS Tutors, or Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status, to support disengaged students in the Wooler area. These young people are not currently accessing mainstream education as a result of SEND, SEMH, permanent exclusion and various other reasons. We are looking for Specialist QTS Tutors to work with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering Maths, English and Functional Skills, who can provide a safe, encouraging, and empowering learning environment to re-engage them in their learning journey.
You will be supporting young people on a 1-1 or small group basis who are not currently accessing full time education for various reasons. Many of our young people have not attended school for some time and may have emotional barriers to learning. As a result, we are seeking nurturing QTS Tutors with a patient, flexible approach and a passion for working closely with students to overcome barriers to learning. Sessions will take place face to face in a community setting such as a youth centre, family hub or community centre.
