A local government organization in Bristol is seeking an Education Advocate (Secondary) to enhance the educational outcomes for children in care. The successful candidate will work alongside young people and various professionals to develop high-quality education plans tailored to individual needs. This full-time, permanent role also includes an excellent rewards package and a supportive work environment, contributing to meaningful community impact.
Full Time, Permanent, pro-rata term-time only plus 5 days (37 hours per week)
We are pleased to announce we are recruiting for an Education Advocate for secondary level. This role supports the virtual school's objectives in securing the best provision and educational outcomes for children in care.
You will work alongside young people, carers, social workers, education settings and other professionals to ensure every child has a high-quality personal education plan that supports their education and training.
You will work closely with multi‑agency partners and education settings to ensure the actions in the plan are carried out and care‑experienced young people are supported in all areas of their education.
If you have experience working with young people in education, knowledge of the challenges children in care may face, and experience of planning for and achieving success, we would welcome your application.
Shortlisting is scheduled setzt to be completed by 29th January 2026, and interviews are expected to take place around 10th February 2026.
