Overview

Job Title: Secondary School Cover Supervisor

Location: Gloucester

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Temporary / Permanent

Start Date: September 2025

We deal with a range of schools in the South Gloucester area. You must be able to adapt to the different values of each school whilst still being able to uphold a high level of teaching professionalism that is expected of you.

Are you confident in the classroom and passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team.

Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of education during teacher absences. You will be expected to supervise whole classes across a range of subjects, following lesson plans provided by teaching staff. You also must be comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour and show examples where you have taken control of a classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects and year groups.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive, safe learning environment.
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures consistently.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student performance and behaviour.
