Job summary

An educational agency in Portsmouth is seeking a qualified Secondary Tutor to support children with special educational needs (SEN) in achieving their GCSEs. The role involves 1:1 tutoring sessions, covering core subjects, and requires a PGCE with QTS and relevant experience. Suitable candidates will have knowledge of diverse learning difficulties and a passion for empowering students.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience teaching in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Knowledge of core subjects: Maths & English.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 face-to-face tutoring at various locations.
• Support children with learning difficulties.
• Cover core subject areas including Maths, English, and Science.

Overview

Remedy Tutors are looking for a flexible, experienced and qualified Secondary Tutor to help SEN kids fulfil their true potential and integrate them back into mainstream to complete their GCSEs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 face-to-face tutoring either at the child\'s home with a parent or carer present, in a local library, or in a private room in a school.
• Support children with various difficulties including ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, etc.
• Cover core subjects including Maths, English and Science.

Minimum Requirements

• PGCE with a QTS
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• 2 years experience teaching in the UK
• Knowledge of Maths & English (Either Primary or Secondary)
