Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Senior Lab Technician to join our rapidly expanding Connected Technologies business at our state-of-the-art laboratory in Surrey Hills Guildford.

As a member of our EMC Testing team you will perform a variety of testing assignments to ensure cutting edge consumer electrical devices meet specific EMC testing standards and are safe for manufactures to bring to market.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare material specimens for testing
  • Perform tests as directed by customer specifications
  • Operate under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager
  • Gather and record test data
  • Construct and maintain various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment
Skills / Qualifications

Key Skills

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
  • 2-4 years experience in a testing related field
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts
  • Possess computer skills.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
