Overview

To be a Seasonal Sales Assistant at The Entertainer you must be reliable and flexible in what hours you can work; there may be the chance of extra hours if we are busy. You should be approachable and confident to deliver excellent customer service, physically fit and able to move stock around the store, work with deliveries and pallets on your own and as a team, and be willing and able to help out when needed in our local Tesco concession space. Merchandising, keeping the shelves full, talking to customers and handling deliveries are part of the role.

I enjoy restocking and making sure all the prices are correct for all our customers; however, I do like seeing kids get excited about seeing their favourite toys in stock. On the weekends when it is especially busy, I like to replenish and make myself available for everybody, whether that\'s to grab an item off the top shelf or to recommend a toy or bestseller for Christmas. Key Information about this role
  • Rates of Pay: 16-20 year olds - £11.00 per hour. 21-year-old plus - £12.21 per hour
  • Contract end date: 3rd January 2026
  • Our stores will be open 7 days a week, so you will need to be able to support us at the weekends including Sundays
  • Contract options:
    • 20-hour per week contract: typically 4-hour shifts over 5 days
    • 8-hour per week contract: typically 4-hour shifts over 2 days, or one full day at times
  • There may be an opportunity to work extra hours depending on trade
  • All Seasonal Sales Assistant contracts require working on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day or New Year\'s Eve, which are among the busiest days of the year
Shift pattern and expectations

We operate 7 days a week; you should be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings and different days of the week. If you have a great attitude and a friendly personality, we can align the hours you are available to work for you and for us. Please provide as much detail as possible in your application form.
