Job Description:

The role involves grounds maintenance, traffic management, waste management, customer service, and cash collection. The position is primarily based at Slieve Gullion, with occasional assistance at Kilbroney Park and Camlough Lake. Mileage reimbursement applies for travel beyond the return journey to Slieve Gullion Forest Park.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise the public ensuring safe and orderly use of facilities.
  2. Enforce rules and regulations, prevent unauthorized activities, and ensure compliance with management procedures and bye-laws.
  3. Handle cash and ensure safety of monies, maintain records and reports.
  4. Report defects, perform maintenance, cleaning, security checks, and emergency repairs.
  5. Open and close facilities, ensuring they are maintained properly.
  6. Operate tools, power tools, and plant equipment.
  7. Administer First Aid when needed.
  8. Adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • GCSEs (Grades A-C) in English and Maths or equivalent, OR
  • At least 6 months experience in a customer-facing role, OR
  • At least 1 year experience in a customer-facing role, in lieu of GCSEs.
  • Experience in cash handling and record keeping.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
Additional Requirements:
  • Availability to work from April onwards.
  • Access to transport or reliable mode of transportation.
  • Current recognized First Aid certification (e.g., British Red Cross, St John’s Ambulance).
