Overview

Scarisbrick Hall School seeks an innovative, passionate and suitably qualified Science tutor to join our School as soon as possible in a self employed role. Scarisbrick Hall School has been awarded Grade 1 in all areas and phases by the Independent Schools Inspectorate with the following headline statement: "The pupils' excellent achievement reflects exemplary attitudes to their learning and a willingness to think for themselves" This is an exciting moment to join a successful and forward-thinking team. The successful applicant will possess the necessary skills to deliver the highest quality teaching at Scarisbrick Hall School.

Main Duties and Responsibilties
  • Deliver tuition and intervention programs to individuals or small groups preparing relevant and appropriate learning experiences in conjunction with the school curriculum
  • Support pupils in overcoming hurdles or barriers to learning
  • Assist in the development of suitable intervention material
  • Keep a log on pupils who undertake tutoring and assist on the recording and reporting procedures
  • Liaise regularly with the Head of Faculty and teachers to inform them of progress and provide relevant feedback as appropriate
  • Support exam revision sessions
  • To attend relevant meetings that relate to the job role
  • To comply with the safeguarding procedures of the school
  • Undertake other reasonable duties (with competence and experience) as requested, in accordance with the changing needs of the organisation
