Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Science Technician to join Hampton’s vibrant and popular Chemistry department from January 2026. Hampton is one of the country’s foremost academically selective independent schools and seeks a skilled professional to support a high‑achieving, joyful learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support across ten Chemistry laboratories, including setting up and clearing away laboratory apparatus for practical lessons.
  • Assist teachers in the preparation of class practicals and ensure laboratories remain clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Wash up laboratory glassware and other equipment, assisting with the general safety and security of the department.
  • Maintain laboratory stock and notify relevant staff of any shortages or issues.
  • Work alongside teachers to uphold the department’s high standards of teaching and student engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experienced laboratory Technician.
  • Qualified graduate with previous laboratory experience welcomed.
  • Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related science is an advantage.
Working Hours

Full‑time during Hampton School term time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm, plus one week during the School holidays.
