Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: January 2026

Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking for a full-time role in Barnsley? An exciting opportunity has become available at a local secondary school, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from January through to Easter.

It supports pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and places importance on creating a safe, structured environment where students are encouraged to engage with learning and reach their full potential.

About the Role:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-planned Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. This role offers the opportunity to support pupils’ understanding of scientific concepts while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department
Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Science
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Experience teaching in UK secondary schools is desirable
  • A professional and proactive approach to teaching
