Overview

Location: Monmouthshire, South Wales

Pay Rate: £172.98 per day

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Contract: Starting October 2025 until end of academic year

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Science Teacher to join one of our trusted secondary schools in the Monmouthshire area.

This position involves teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, inspiring students to explore the world of science through engaging lessons and practical investigations. You’ll play a key role in developing students’ analytical thinking, curiosity, and understanding of scientific principles. The school also encourages staff to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, and educational trips.

Whether you’re a Newly Qualified Teacher (ECT/NQT) or an experienced educator, we’d love to hear from you!

What We’re Looking for

Requirements

Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are completing their induction
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Two recent professional references
