This is an exciting opportunity to combine scientific knowledge, communication skills and community engagement. Working alongside technical experts to support your professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Continue research around relevant topics to support technical professionals.
  • Supporting with developing online educational resources for students – ranging in online, print, newsletters and presentations.
  • Organisation of a variety of initiatives to increase engagement with students.
  • Assisting technical experts in organising courses, events and open days across the country.
  • First point of contact for enquiries, utilising own knowledges to a number of different stakeholders.
  • Working alongside volunteers, partnering organisations and local communities to increase engagement.
Person Specification
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in science, environmental studies, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Passionate about your specialism
  • Experience in a tutoring, customer service or people focused roles
  • An interest in education, outreach, or public engagement
  • Keen to develop and become a subject matter expert
  • The ability to communicate confidently with both non-specialist and professional audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
