Overview

We are looking for a Science Community Manager to help build a vibrant, engaged community of practice supporting scientists, innovators and grantees working in human‑specific research.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our online scientific community, managing forum activity and delivering an annual engagement plan.
  • Coordinate regional scientific networks across the UK, including meetups, workshops and lab visits.
  • Support key scientific programmes, including the Scientific Advisory Panel, national conference, awards and grant funding.
  • Strengthen connections between researchers, organisations and programmes to accelerate the transition to human‑specific research.
  • Contribute to knowledge exchange, content creation and the visibility of human‑specific science.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience in community management, research engagement or network development.
  • Understanding of how research is conducted and funded in academic or industry settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A PhD (or equivalent research experience) in a relevant field.
  • A commitment to advancing human‑specific, animal‑free science.
Location & Compensation

Remote (Open to qualified candidates located in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland). Compensation competitive and commensurate with experience – salary details will be discussed during interview.
