Overview

Santander is evolving into a technology-driven organization. We are looking for a Trade & Working Capital Solutions originator dedicated to the Middle East region, based in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate new Trade & Working Capital business through regular client calling, developing key relationships and overseeing junior staff to accelerate and maintain revenues.
  • Frequent travel to UAE and Qatar for client and partner engagement.
  • Coordinate and align on business requests, commercial plans, financial analyses, client/transaction pitches with relationship management and internal stakeholders (Product, Private Debt Mobilisation, Compliance, Legal, IT, Operations, etc.) to provide best‑in‑class service and seamless end‑to‑end origination and execution.
  • Maintain knowledge of key trends across core sectors and position cross‑selling opportunities for Santander’s working capital solutions.
  • Deliver client presentations, actively drive sales and coverage initiatives; manage client journey from sales through implementation and act as escalation point.
  • Manage transactions through internal approval and execution process, considering strategic, profitability and risk requirements.
  • Adhere to internal processes and governance to ensure control and transparency over sales activity.
  • Manage, teach and develop junior staff and support hiring and interviewing.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong experience in banking and/or Trade & Working Capital solutions.
  • Customer facing and/or sales experience with direct contact to clients in UAE, Qatar and the Middle East region.
  • Expertise in Traditional Trade Finance, Structured Trade and Working Capital solutions, plus Middle East market knowledge.
  • B.A. in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent; other relevant university and business school qualifications acceptable.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
