Overview

Part Time School Reception/Admin Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Reception / Admin Assistant to join our busy school office team, to provide a professional and friendly front of house service. The position is for 2 days per week (15 hours), to be worked over 38 weeks per year (term time only): Thursday & Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (with a 30 minute lunchbreak).

The candidate will be expected to cover reception on one evening in both the Spring and Autumn Term, when school is open for Parent Consultations (4:30pm to 7:00pm). Also to attend the September INSET day for annual whole school safeguarding training and Headteacher briefing. The pay scale is PS4 FTE £25,052 - £26,825, pro rata £8,750 - £9,369 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Main duties include being first point of contact at reception dealing with visitors, pupils, parents and staff.
  • Operate the school's telephone system and manage the Inventry Visitor Management System.
  • Deal with routine queries and messages from both within and outside the school.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent telephone manner and strong administration skills.

  • Sound knowledge of ICT and strong interpersonal skills for communicating with parents, carers, pupils and staff.
