We are currently looking for a School Premises Officer to join a school on a long‑term basis to manage the current team and complete general maintenance for a school in Southwark. It will be spread across multiple sites.

The Role

In this role you will be working 5 days a week on a temporary basis to cover for a month. The hours may require flexibility for opening and closing the school.

Responsibilities
  • Support with general maintenance and repairs in and around the school facilities
  • Prepare areas within the school for events (furniture set up etc)
  • General upkeep and cleaning
  • Weekly fire alarm tests to be recorded in a spreadsheet
  • Health and safety knowledge needed
  • Make repairs when needed
Qualifications

To apply for this role you must be physically fit and have experience working in building maintenance. Previous experience in schools, colleges or educational settings is essential for this role. You must have a dedicated and professional approach and will need to hold an Enhanced DBS or be prepared to have one processed.
