A School based on the outskirts of Buxton are looking for someone to start ASAP.

Job Title: School Office Manager

Location: Taddington/Buxton

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Pay: £23 - £25 per hour depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:30

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

The school are looking for an experienced and highly organised School Office Manager to join the school office in Taddington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role and enjoys working in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finance: Oversee school finances, process invoices, manage payments and assist with financial reporting.
  • HR: Support recruitment processes, maintain staff records and ensure compliance with HR policies.
  • Budgeting: Assist with budget planning and monitoring expenditure.
  • Office Management: Lead and manage office staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Administration: Handle correspondence, maintain accurate records and provide general administrative support to senior leadership.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a school office or similar administrative/finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and HR processes.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management systems (SIMS experience desirable).
