Overview

Are you looking for an opportunity to work with children, young people and their families in the community, as part of a new team delivering high quality care to children aged 0–19 years, in line with the Healthy Child Programme?

This is a part time role for 30 hours, 5 days per week, term time only. The post covers Oxford City including Summertown, Headington, Kidlington and surrounding areas. The role involves travelling between schools to deliver vision screening and the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) in primary schools as part of a team. You will be based at Jordan Hill (OX2 8EJ) and work with the 0–19 team in the City North locality, with the possibility of supporting additional localities.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge to work alongside experienced health care practitioners in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the NCMP and vision screening programmes to primary schools within a specified area, including uploading and inputting data into digital systems.
  • Deliver and support Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) in primary and secondary schools.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and lone working policies.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies and develop, participate in and maintain interagency networks.
  • Travelling between schools to deliver services as part of the 0–19 team in the City North locality and potentially support additional localities.

Role Details
