Job summary

Job description

We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who lives locally who can undertake snow clearing/path gritting duties as required in the winter months prior to the start of the school day for any of the following schools in the Alford Network: Craigievar, Keig, Midmar, Tough, Towie and Strathdon. Ensure appropriate security and access to hall or building, whilst maintaining housekeeping standards so that a quality service is delivered to all users.

Responsibilities
  • Work irregular and unsocial hours, which may include weekends.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements
  • Minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.
  • This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
