School Caretaker (6–12 Month Contract)

Our client, a busy school in Handsworth, is seeking an experienced School Caretaker to support the day-to-day running of the site and ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for staff and pupils. This is a 6–12 month contract, with the potential for extension depending on requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Building & Grounds Maintenance : Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance, minor repairs, and general groundskeeping.

Low Maintenance Jobs : Support with day-to-day, smaller maintenance tasks.

Health & Safety : Ensure the site meets all health, safety, and statutory compliance requirements.

Security : Open and lock the school, manage alarm systems, and respond to emergency call-outs.

Contractor Liaison : Supervise contractors working on site.

Stock & Supplies : Monitor and order essential supplies.

Event Support : Assist with logistics for school events and activities.
