School Caretaker – Secondary School

Location: Ealing
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time + Some Holiday Weeks

A well-established secondary school in Ealing is seeking a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join their site team from January 2026. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, clean, and running smoothly. The school has a friendly, community-focused environment where staff support one another and work together to maintain high standards across the site.

As the Caretaker, you will help ensure the school's facilities are well-maintained and ready for daily use. Responsibilities include general maintenance, health and safety checks, locking/unlocking the building, and supporting school events where required. You will work closely with the Site Manager and wider premises team to keep the school organised and in good working order.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out basic repairs, maintenance, and upkeep across the school site.
• Open and secure the premises each day, including alarm checks.
• Conduct daily health and safety tasks, such as monitoring equipment and reporting hazards.
• Support with deliveries, furniture movement, and setting up rooms for events.
• Work with the premises team to keep outdoor areas tidy and safe.
• Assist with cleaning duties when required.

What We're Looking For

• Practical skills in DIY, maintenance, or a similar hands‑on role.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous caretaking or facilities experience is beneficial but not essential.
